Our campaign is run by a team of volunteers, all survivors of CSA doing what they can to make a difference to the lives of other survivors of CSA.
Everyone doing their best for a very difficult conversation.
NotMyShame is recognised across the world - 3 words that many survivors of CSA understand the deep meaning of. We are very proud to be connected with survivors across the planet.
NotMyShame was accidentally started in 2021/22 by survivor and campaigner against CSA, Emma Jane Taylor. In 2021 she shared the NotMyShame quote “I am not afraid to say I was sexually abused as a child, I was just a child. It isn't my shame", which went viral. She shared the message on a tee and subsequently had survivors asking where they could get a tee-shirt from.
emmanation™️ offers more than just sponsorship. Being supported by emmanation™️ is a part of a type of an ecosystem that is working together toward aligned charitable aims for a safer future for children.

NotMyShame was created to empower survivors of CSA & to turn up the volume on a very difficult conversation - that for much of my life was kept in the dark.
If you feel comfortable then I would like for you to use the hashtag #NotMyShame alongside any conversations where you felt it appropriate to your life, and for those that feel able to, I would love for you to join me in wearing the NotMyShame tee-shirt range. However, I understand that not everyone will feel able to do any of that, and that is fine also - there is no right or wrong, we are all at different stages of our journey with these conversations, feeling safe and stable is important. I have no expectations of any survivor on their journey, each one of us is going through our own difficult conversations.
My hope is that the campaign helps someone find their strength by just seeing those 3 words 'NotMyShame'. Personally, it took me 45 years to say them, I am now feeling strong enough for them to have purpose. On a personal note; I had no idea when I started this campaign that it ywould lead to global recognition. I really only shared the slogan to remind myself of the truth; that being abused as a child is NotMyShame.
It is important for me to say, I don’t advise anyone to speak up/share anything about their personal story in public, until they have a greater understanding of their why’ & what they are facing & how they are facing it.
Whatever happens next, I am proud to be here and have made some amazing life long friends. Huge thank you to Lynne. Lynne was the first survivor of CSA to stand with me in wearing a tee-shirt. If this all ended tomorrow I know it has left a positive dent in people's life, mine included.
Huge thank you to everyone supporting the NotMyShame campaign, especially Sharon, Jo, Katy, Lynne and Kaz.

I spent some time choosing suitable collaborations to work with on the NotMyShame range of clothing and products. I’ve read many articles about our chosen products that share good insight into their corporate responsibility and of their ethos. Most of the products are 100% airlume cotton, making them lighter (thinner), but all made with great care, and of course more importantly 'sharing strong messages’ - which is the focus of the work we are doing with the campaign, we are not a fashion brand in that sense. We do not return products because they are to thin, and hope you understand our ethical responsibility. Feedback is important, so do share your constructive notes, it helps us to continue the strength of the message/ campaign, our focus. You can chat to us via our DM service on social media.
PLEASE NOTE; we do not offer refunds on wrongly ordered items or tee-shirts that have thin material (see above!). But we will happily discuss this with you to see if we can find a compromise.

Emma Jane recorded several podcasts.
Join her for interesting fire-side conversations that some may find helpful, others may find challenging - but many should listen to. Especially if we are to seriously consider protecting children from CSA across the world. The title of the podcasts are self explanatory.
This podcast was inspired by the #NotMyShame movement.
